An eminent monk mentioned, with Cāla, Upacāla, Kaḷimbha, Nikata and Kaṭissaha, as staying with the Buddha at the Kūṭāgārasālā in Vesāli. When the Licchavis started coming there to pay their respects to the Buddha, the monks, desiring solitude, went into the woodlands near by, such as the Gosiṅgasālavana. AN.v.133f.
