A forest tract near the village of Pārileyya. There the Buddha retired and lived at the foot of the Bhaddasāla, when unable to settle the dispute among the Kosambī monks. The elephant Pārileyya lived there and waited upon the Buddha. Vin.i.352f. Ud.iv.5
