sunidha

A minister of Māgadha, who, with Vassakāra, was in charge of the fortifications of Pāṭaligāma, built in order to repel the Vajjīs. These two are always mentioned together. They invited the Buddha to a meal, and, after his departure, named the gate by which he had left the city Gotamadvāra, and the ford by which he crossed the Ganges, Gotamatittha. Vin.i.228f.
