ākoṭaka
A deva who visited the Buddha at Veḷuvana accompanied by Asama, Sahali, Ninka, Vetambarī and Mānava-Gāmiya. Ākoṭaka spoke before the Buddha in praise of various teachers of other schools: Pakuddha-Kātiyāna (sic), Nigaṇṭha, Makkhali, Pūraṇa.
