śī, Vedic śete & śayate; cp. Av. saēte = Gr. κεϊται to lie, ὠ κεανός (“ocean”) = Sk. ā-śayānah, κοιμάω to put to sleep; Ags. hāēman to marry; also Lat cīvis = citizen. The Dhtp simply defines as saya (374).
